Finisar has released their advanced Gigabit Copper Ethernet TAP with an industry first feature, dual monitoring connections.

The unit has Optical and Copper UTP monitor ports which are active simultaneously.

This is great when you need to connect both a UTP based Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and a protocol analyser which only supports Fibre connections.

The dual output TAP uses interchangeable SFP (Small Form Packaging) optical transmitters providing support for both Single and Multi-mode optics in the one unit.
